GREENSBORO - Procter & Gamble Co. picked Greensboro for a $100 million plant expansion that will create 200 jobs during the next three years, according to The Business Journal.
The news comes after city and Guilford County leaders recently approved spending nearly $2 million in incentives to entice the company to expand its 288-acre Greensboro campus.
The jobs will have an average salary of $52,249 a year, according to the company. An estimated $30 million would be spent on property improvements and $70 million in new machinery and equipment.
Procter & Gamble makes Crest, Old Spice, Fixodent and Gillette products in its Greensboro location. All Procter & Gamble?s health and beauty products are distributed from the center.
