Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans led parade of Magnificent Seven cars through Overton
SPECTATORS waved, cheered and took pictures as Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans led a parade of expensive cars through Overton.
Villagers lined the streets to watch the Ferraris, which were from the broadcaster?s own Magnificent Seven collection, make their way to Laverstoke Park Farm.
The seven couples who joined the multi-millionaire for the drive of a lifetime won the chance to get behind the wheel of his Ferraris on a picturesque tour of the South after bidding in an auction to raise money for Children in Need ? an auction lot that generated an incredible ?801,797.
The group started out from Chris? home where they enjoyed a barbecue breakfast made by former Formula One champion Jody Scheckter, before making their way to his farm near Overton.
Their journey was broadcast live on air on BBC Radio 2 as the group made a pit stop at Chewton Glen in the New Forest at a top spa hotel, before driving in convoy to Thruxton Race Circuit, where Mr Scheckter and Jason Plato treated the winners to a lap in a Ferrari Enzo.
The Magnificent Seven Tour ended in Berkshire before the couples were taken to Foxbridge Golf Club where they enjoyed a round of golf, dinner cooked by Giorgio Locatelli and music from Take That legend Gary Barlow.
